You are invited to a free celebration of culture and community in Worksop.
A Fun Palace 10th anniversary celebration is to take place at Worksop Library, Memorial Avenue, Worksop S80 2BP on Saturday, 7 October, 2023, between 10am and 3pm.
It will be a free celebration of culture and community. Fun Palaces are a campaign for culture at the heart of every community. Organisers believe in the genius of everyone – everyone an artist, everyone a scientist.
There is no need to book and there will be free fun activities for all ages.
There will be microscope experiments, stop-motion animation and sensory play. Have fun crafting, making and creating. There will be drawing fun with local artists Tracey Meek and Mandy Keating.
Enjoy performances from Langold Dyscarr Community School Choir as they serenade visitors into lunchtime and Dukeries Ukeries will round off the day with a musical finale.
Plus there will be fun football games with Worksop Town Academy, archaeology with Bassetlaw and the University of Nottingham Museums, creative crafts with Mr Straw’s House and the Harley Gallery, and much more.
