Kooth – your online mental wellbeing community

Kooth offers an online support network where you can join friendly discussion boards to connect with others having similar experiences. You can access journals, goal trackers, and self-help articles with the option to contribute your own experiences or advice.

The great thing about Kooth is that it’s anonymous, stigma-free and offers immediate support to you straight after you’ve signed up, and there’s no waiting list.

There’s a whole range of topics where you can find support and advice, and read other young people’s stories about anxiety, relationships, sexuality, mental health and more.

On Kooth, everything that you post or submit to the site is checked by staff members called moderators. They’re there to keep Kooth safe and make sure everyone can get the support they need. They check everything that’s posted on the Kooth magazine, discussion boards, and live forums and make sure it fits with their community boundaries.

Some topics are sensitive and sometimes a moderator might delete your post or change it slightly before it’s posted; whoever moderates what you’ve written will message you to let you know if your post can’t be published.

Kooth isn’t a crisis service so it’s very important to know where to get help when you need it if you’re struggling. You can find more information about crisis services here.

If you need urgent support, you can call ChildLine: 0800 11 11 or Samaritans: 116123, both are 24/7 services.
